Planting takes place in school locations and other protected biodiversity sites throughout the UK.
Planting sequesters our carbon emissions. Through photosynthesis trees absorb carbon dioxide to produce oxygen and wood. By ensuring that trees planted are native broad leaf species we also help to preserve our environment and biodiversity.
All trees are high quality cell grown ‘whips’ (year old saplings) and are tagged with unique identification codes.
The project cost is much higher than second and third world country projects, simply because our standard of living is higher (hourly costs in general and relative dearth of subsidies/donations). And as First World countries have been polluting the planet for much longer, in higher volumes than others, and our welfare is based solely on this unpleasant truth, it is incumbent on you and me to think consciously about where we invest our Offsetting pounds. Remember that the tree will have to be planted here; either today or in our children’s day … Let us choose to live & act with wisdom for the piper will be paid sooner or later.
