The Findhorn Ecovillage Community aspires to these values and to achieve the goal well before 2050.
PET is actively working towards it too. Read more…
We aim to bring the Community’s Common Ground into our project, program and internal work (especially Principles 2&3, Essence 5, and Guidelines 4, 5, 9&10).
For example, our preferred transport option for charity business trips is our own Moray Carshare; and our preferred catering and ‘elevensies’ supplier is our local and organically brilliant Phoenix Community Store and Café !
2017 Project: Carbon Offsetting Service
The Community’s environmental impact was first assessed in 2006. In 2015 the Carbon Footprint Report approximated the average Community emissions at 9.5 tonnes CO2e – roughly the UK average including all greenhouse gasses. The primary reason for this result was and still is the air travel by Foundation Guests to get here, and that of our residents too.
