February is a brilliant month: New Year’s resolutions are really put to the test, 4/2 World Cancer Day, 6-12/2 International Development Week, 14/2 St Valentine’s Day, 20/2 World Day of Social Justice, 22/2 World Thinking Day, and 27/2 World NGO Day, among others…

They all highlight an attitude desperately needed at this time. Harmony at every level of life on this planet demands a guarantee that our choices — ‘Work’ — really is LOVE in action.

Here’s one harmonic issue that many aren’t conscious of, and you and I can actually do something about: https://wickedleeks.riverford.co.uk/films/whats-the-problem-with-animal-feed/

Here’s another harmony issue we all have to think about carefully going forward, given the energy crisis exacerbated by the second Russian invasion of Ukraine: how renewable is our renewable energy?[mfn]If I don’t know what the answer is, I need to keep asking those who should know to give me an answer that (1) I can understand and  that (2) is commonsensical![/mfn] https://www.ukcolumn.org/article/sustainable-renewable-energy-neither-sustainable-nor-renewable

There’s not a World Thinking Day for nothing, you know! “Thought” is a typically human activity[mfn]For a long time, many abilities were thought to be exclusively human—but in the last few years, psychologists have learned that: newborn chickens can calculate, chimpanzees help each other, parrots talk, and scrub jays plan for the future. Every week, new findings support the idea that animals are indeed capable of thinking too. However, re. conscious thought, check this out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thought[/mfn] and a responsibility that oughtn’t really to be shirked by anyone. Ditto our individual (communal) responsibility for the quality of community that we, as stewards, are passing on to the next generation. Think about it in action!
