Preservation Rainforest+project Brazil (VCS)

You are supporting Amazonia in (1) “Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) and (2) ground floor eco-education and eco-monitoring (through the employment employing and proper training of local villagers).

Contribution to sustainable development and added social benefits:

• Providing training on forest and biodiversity monitoring and management and opportunities to work as a monitoring/enforcement staff
• Enhancing community’s organisational capabilities

Solar Power India (VCS)

You support the construction and operation of a solar power plant in India.

Contribution to sustainable development and added social benefits:

• Generation of employment opportunities during construction and operation of the larger project
• In the absence of Project activity, the quantity of the electricity that would be delivered by the Project activity to the State grid would be sourced from the existing grid-connected power plants and future capacity additions to meet the growing electricity requirements; thus the project activity reduces the dependency on fossils fuels which are predominantly used for electricity generation in India and helps reduction of climate change impacts
• The project will further demonstrate the technology in the region and help encourage other wind power projects.

Wind Turbines India (VCS)

You are supporting the operation of a wind farm in Northern India to generate electricity and supply it to a part of the NEWNE (Northern, Eastern, Western and North-Eastern) grid of India.

• Generation of employment opportunities during further construction and operation of the project
