Light of Findhorn Sanctuary
Following Eileen’s guidance received early 1968, the main Sanctuary – consisting of two prefabricated garages bolted together – was opened in April 1968. With seating capacity for 65 people it replaced the tiny caravan used up till then that had been a squeeze for seven. Almost exactly 53 years later the Sanctuary was destroyed by fire on 12th April 2021. We are now building a New Sanctuary.
Light of Findhorn Sanctuary
The Light of Findhorn Sanctuary rebuild at the Park Ecovillage Findhorn is a sacred endeavor that breathes new life into the heart of this spiritual haven. The Light of Findhorn Sanctuary will be built using windblown local timber. This new building will seat just under 100 people. It proposed that there will be 36 chairs, 14 cushions and 50 bench seats. The space is designed to fully accommodate weddings, christening, sacred dance and other gatherings.
